Bridgeocean

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who We Are

Bridgeocean Limited ("Bridgeocean", "we", "us", or "our") is a technology company registered in Nigeria. We build and operate Nexus — an emergency coordination platform — and the products that run on it, including NaijaRescue and Charter. Our registered contact address is available at bridgeocean.xyz/contact.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide — name, email address, phone number, organisation name, and any other details you submit through our contact forms, registration flows, or product onboarding.
  • Emergency and dispatch data — location coordinates, incident details, and response records processed through the Nexus platform on behalf of our B2G and B2B clients.
  • Usage data — pages visited, browser type, device type, and general analytics collected via Google Analytics (GA4) to help us improve the site.
  • Communications — messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or the contact form.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Nexus platform and our products.
  • To respond to enquiries, schedule demos, and fulfil onboarding requests.
  • To send transactional communications (account confirmations, incident alerts).
  • To analyse site traffic and improve user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations under Nigerian law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the basis of contractual necessity (to deliver our services), legitimate interests (to improve our platform and communicate with prospective clients), and consent where required (e.g. marketing communications). For data processed on behalf of institutional clients (governments, HMOs, corporates), Bridgeocean acts as a data processor under the client's instructions.

5. Data Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers — hosting (Vercel), analytics (Google), email delivery, and communication tools, each under appropriate data processing agreements.
  • Emergency responders — when you initiate an emergency through NaijaRescue, relevant dispatch and location data is shared with response teams and hospitals as necessary to protect life.
  • Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services or as required by applicable law. Emergency incident records may be retained longer for audit, legal, and quality assurance purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data. GA4 uses cookies to track sessions. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies beyond analytics.

8. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability where technically feasible.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@bridgeocean.xyz. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Emergency dispatch data is treated with the highest level of confidentiality given its life-critical nature.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or email where appropriate. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

11. Contact
